2010’s Glen Grant 40%abv NAS 1 Litre port winesColour: Gold. Nose: Smoky ,grass, plus bread and yeast. Mouth: Good, citrusy, mineral, quite peaty, with some body and some structure. Develops on green tea and a touch of brine, as well as a sooty, ashy side. This old Highlands style is rather impressive. Finish: Quite long, malty, salty, ashy

and growing in complexity
a lovely easy-drinking wine
I say substantial because underneath all that summer garden florals and fruity sweetness
sweet caramel on nose and palate
the spirit is rich and spicy with hints of citrus and sandalwood and rather pleasant ‘coastality’ (seashells)
Finish: A little caramel over baked apples
Nose: Pure classy maltiness with notes of white cherries
