VINTAGE MADE IN JAPAN CARVED KAMAKURA-BORI PEDESTAL PLATE cabinetKamakura bori is a traditional form of Japanese hand carved lacquerware originating from the city of Kamakura. The craft dates back to the Kamakura period (1185 1333). This is a great example of the style from the mid 20th century, featuring a carved leaf or fern pattern. 6cm high x 23cm diameter. In very good condition. Light marks and blemishes, nothing too obvious. Cleaned and polished. Perfect for use as a decorative piece, or a practical serving
