Antique, Edwardian sapphire & old mine-cut diamond five-stone ring diamondProvenance Original to c. 1905, this Edwardian ring is a refined example of what is known as a carved half hoop ring. The carved half hoop was a hugely popular style of ring during the late Victorian era and continued to stay in fashion right up until the Art Deco period. The carved half hoop is characterised by its use of coloured gemstones and diamonds, set above an ornately carved gold gallery that reflected the richness and opulence of the era.
