Closeries des Moussis - Baragane Haut-Médoc 2018 (750ml) Rio NegroIn the heart of Cantenac (adjacent to Margaux), the 0. 4 ha vineyard is planted with of pre phylloxera vines farmed organically and the yield is minuscule. Baragane is the local name for wild leeks which grow among the vines. This wine is a field blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, along with ancient varieties such as Goudale and Carmnre. Perfumed cassis on the nose which follow through on the elegant palate.

this has generous tannins to balance the blackberry fruit flavors

the wine offers rich blackberry notes that give way to red cherry and black pepper spice on the palate

Kalkspitz is a Petnat (Traditional method of making sparkling wine ) and is a blend of different grape varieties (mostly Grüner Veltliner)

plus a waft of lilacs
