Honig Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage 2006 VINTAGE WINES 1961Located in the Rutherford apparition of the Napa Valley. Bought in 1964 and for many years growing grapes for neighbouring wineries. The first estate bottled Cabernet Sauvignon was produced in 1989. The 2006 vintage was a good year for the wines of California. Typical Blend, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with a little merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Frenc Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level in neck.
but some lovely wines were made
The 2009 vintage was fabulous for the sweet wines of Bordeaux
Château Poujeaux is a well-regarded former Cru Bourgeois wine estate located in the Moulis en Medoc sub-appellation of the Haut-Médoc wine region
It was classified as Premier Cru in the 1855 classification of Sauternes and is one of the region's most famous wine estates
Mourvèdre plus a small portion of 10 other varieties
A really harmonious bottle where the really complex nose carried straight through to the flavour
HB is often an atypical Pauillac
carried mainly by the tannins
but some nice vintage wines were made
and the flavours are great
with the first vintage being 1999
with flavors of apricots in syrup
