At the time 1959 was heralded as the vintage of the century by the press. It certainly was the best post war vintage. A classic and long lived. Typical blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc. 75cl Bottle. Abv % not stated. Bottle condition, capsule good, labels bin soiled and loose, wine level top shoulder.

Not much fruit left but there’s still plenty of bacon oil

Recent tastings have highlighted that some are still drinking well
